Topical Vitamin B3 Reduces Skin Cancer Risk

Research has shown that vitamin B3 lowers the risk of developing nonmelanoma skin cancers. Additionally, exciting new studies are finding that topical vitamin B3 works the same as oral supplements at reducing the rates of new skin cancers, as well as premalignant actinic keratosis.

Vitamin A and The Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation

Sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30, when used appropriately, blocks about 97% of the UV radiation from the sun. However, a sunscreens’ protection does not extend to visible light or infrared radiation. Retinyl palmitate (vitamin A) is a naturally occuring molecule found in the outer layer of the skin and is both a filter of light and an antioxidant. Retinyl palmitate creams are able to protect the skin to a greater depth than sunscreens, thus providing protection from those rays outside of the UV spectrum.

Vitamin B3 Found to Prevent Skin Cancer

Recent studies have found that vitamin B3, also known as nicotinomide or niacinamide, is a key ingredient for skin cancer prevention. Nicotinomide does this by preventing immunosuppression caused by sun exposure, specifically UVB and longwave UVA rays. Combining the use of sunscreen and topical vitamin B3 is imperative for total sun protection, as sunscreen alone is not able to filter longwave UVA rays.

Since May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, this is a great opportunity to remember the importance of sun protection throughout the year. Wearing sunscreen and an antioxidant, covering up with a hate or seeking shade are some excellent strategies to protect the skin from the sun's harmful rays.

Have you been looking to reverse the signs of aging caused by sun damage? Maybe you want to smooth the surface of your skin or permanently reduce brown spots? We’ve got good news! Once you try Cloud Retinyl Palmitate, a new vitamin A cream developed in Canadian labs, it will become your new best friend! It protects your skin from the sun’s harmful rays in a way that sunscreen can’t. This is a cream, not a sun block product. It should be used at night, and you must still use your conventional sunscreen in the morning. The vitamin A is absorbed in your skin and neutralizes and prevents the injuries constantly inflicted by sun, smoke and pollution – for up to 17 days! In fact Cloud Vitamin Cream protects against 93% of the spectrum that sunscreens don’t cover.
